I cannot believe it is 2020! I pray you have had time to reflect on this past year to see how God has blessed you, challenged you, and grown you into the disciple he wants you to be. I wanted to share a little more with you about where Not On Our Watch is going for 2020. We long to create resources for families to make planned and purposeful discipleship happen in their homes. We believe that if you do not have a plan, family discipleship often times takes a backseat to all the other activities we have to do with our kids. Therefore, we want to tell you about our plan.
We will be putting out resources every other month for you to use in your home. February will be the first month, and we will focus on 1 Corinthians 13 and what biblical love should look like in our homes. In April we will look at the life, death and resurrection of Jesus and how it changed us forever. In June we will look at the 10 Commandments and how they still apply to our lives today. In August we will talk about the Books of the Bible, how the Bible came to be, and how we can use it daily in our lives to become the people God created us to be. In October we will focus on the Old Testament and how the God in those stories is still faithful in our lives today. Then, we will be back to our Hebrews Advent Study which we just finished.
In between those months we will have topical articles about ways of discipling your children in the home. These will deal more with living out the Word in a day to day life. For instance, talking more with them about how to live as Christians in everything we do. These articles will be more practical, with ideas from other families about ways they are discipling their Children.
2020 for Churches
We will be creating several modules of training for church leaders to be able to launch Not On Our Watch in your own church. These will be concepts and ideas for you to pass on to your volunteers and parents in your ministry. Each module will focus on a different aspect of what will make Not On Our Watch possible in your church. The months these modules will become available are: January, March, May, July, September, November.
